Please be advised of the following updates.

1.REGISTRATION:
All players are required to register with their home club.  A player found to have registered with another club would be given a refund and asked to re-register with the appropriate community club.  This may result in a late registration fee and be subject to a late registration placement process. Any player or community club found to continually breach this policy will be referred to the FC Northwest (FCNW) Board of Directors and home community club President.  If you are unsure of who or where your home community club is please email the FCNW Recreational Director at recreational@fcnorthwest.com and ask!

2.LATE REGISTRATION:

a). A player is considered and processed as a late registration if their registration is received after the team formation & player placement meeting has taken place.

b). At this time teams have been formed and players are generally placed according to team numbers.  Requests are very difficult to process when a player is late and are most often not met.

c). It can take up to two weeks to process a late registration so this may mean the start of the season beginning before a player is confirmed on a team.

d). Players cannot attend or participate with any team (practices, games, etc.) until the convener and/or coach have confirmed them on a roster.

e). Players will not be transferred to another district at this time if a spot can be provided on a team within the FCNW district.

3.REQUESTS:

a). Any player/parent requests must be made in writing to the home club soccer convener at the time of registration.  They will be reviewed and taken into consideration during the team formation & player placement meeting, but please note that there are NO guarantees the requests will be met.  Teams are first formed based on player numbers and confirmed coaching staff.  All requests are for one season only.

b). If a player has a medical consideration that would affect their team placement then this needs to be brought to the attention of the home club convener at registration and may require supporting documentation from a medical professional.

4.TRANSFERS:
Although players are registered with their home club, the possibility exists that they may be transferred to any one of the eleven community clubs within the FCNW district during the team formation and player placement process.  A transferred player would then play out of the transfer club for that season only.  A complete list of the CC’s and the soccer contacts are found under the ‘Recreational Tab’.

5.OUTDOOR SCHEDULES:

a). Winnipeg Youth Soccer Association (WYSA) is responsible for scheduling all U13+ outdoor soccer games.  The WYSA website indicates which days of the week each age group will most likely play games for the season, but please note there may be occasional changes required due to the number of teams in a division and/or field availability.

b). FCNW is responsible for scheduling all U9-U12 outdoor soccer games.  It is the club’s intention to follow the same format as WYSA, but please note there may be occasional changes required due to the number of teams in a division and/or field availability.  The format for the U9 – U11 age groups is outlined in the “LTPD for 2014” document found under the ‘Recreational Tab’.

6.INDOOR SCHEDULES:

a). U4 – U6: there is currently no league for these age groups.

b). U7 – U8: there are currently two leagues for these age groups running at Gateway Community Centre or Garden City Community Centre.

c). U9 – U18: Winnipeg Youth Soccer Association (WYSA) is responsible for scheduling all indoor soccer games.  There is no set format for the indoor season.

7.PRACTICES:
All practice details are arranged by team coaching staff and cannot be confirmed in advance of registrations.

8.AGE-ADVACNING:
Players are registered and placed on teams according to birth year.  Any parent requesting an age advancement of a player must make the request to their home community club convener in writing at the time of registration.   The request will be reviewed and taken into consideration during the team selection and player placement meeting, but please note that there are NO guarantees the requests will be met. All age-advancement placements are subject to consideration to ensure the placement does not cause an imbalance to the birth year or age-advancement team.

Please review your home club’s refund policy before proceeding with any registration.  A complete list of the CC’s and the soccer contacts are found under the ‘Recreational Tab’.
