Premier / D-League
D-League
The D - League program participates in the Premier Development League (PDL), legislated by the Winnipeg Youth Soccer Association. The D - League is the springboard to the Premier program by providing a foundation for players that aspire to reach the highest-levels of the game.
Participating in these programs require athletes to display certain qualities that will not only challenge their playing ability, but their physical and mental attributes as well. A player should always strive to demonstrate their personal best, and to elevate their standards in regards to commitment in training and performance.
Premier
The Premier program provides training and competition to our high performance male and female athletes. The FC Northwest program encompasses the Under-13 to the Under-18 division. Numerous players are selected annually from this program to participate with the Manitoba Provincial program. Players who excel at the Provincial level may be offered an opportunity to participate at the CSA Regional Training Centre (RTC) or for the CSA Prairie National Training Centre (NTC). Ultimately, these players could be invited to represent Canada at the National level.
Commitment to this program requires an athlete to display certain qualities that will not only challenge their playing ability, but their physical and mental attributes as well. A player should always strive to demonstrate their personal best. Premier soccer requires a significant time commitment by the player and his or her family. Commitment to the team for all games, practices and tournaments, is priority, and one must be adequately prepared both physically and mentally at each performance.
